So about 3 years ago I purchased a Tevo Tarantula which is based on a Prusa i3 design which some people have found problematic. While the base design is fairly solid, it is made to a price point. So I went to it redesigning sections that have improved mine.

So some of the upgrades
1. Used metal right angle braces
2. Added a layer under the bed of heat proofing with a sheet of acrylic to hold it in place
3. using a piece of glass for printing onto
4. Replaced Y axis end with adjustable belt
5. Added printed knobs for bed adjustment
6. Replaced X axis holder with one supporting the standard head
7. X axis now has screw based belt adjuster
8. X axis has mounts for fan to cool job
9. Added Drag chain for X axis
10. Using Octopi for remote control and viewing
11. Added extension leads to steppers to allow better routing of cables
12. Install opotical sensor for X axis end stop
13. Upgraded control to graphical interface
14. Built holder for filament for smoother feed
15. Bolted printer to a plywood base
16. Built box around printer with clear acrylic door
17. Added LED light strips to the inside of the box
