So about 3 years ago I purchased a Tevo Tarantula which is based on a Prusa i3 design which some people have found problematic. While the base design is fairly solid, it is made to a price point. So I went to it redesigning sections that have improved mine.<\/p>\n

I will be adding these soon and a range of photo’s.<\/p>\n

So some of the upgrades<\/p>\n

1. Used metal right angle braces
\n2. Added a layer under the bed of heat proofing with a sheet of acrylic to hold it in place
\n3. using a piece of glass for printing onto
\n4. Replaced Y axis end with adjustable belt
\n5. Added printed knobs for bed adjustment
\n6. Replaced X axis holder with one supporting the standard head
\n7. X axis now has screw based belt adjuster
\n8. X axis has mounts for fan to cool job
\n9. Added Drag chain for X axis
\n10. Using Octopi for remote control and viewing
\n11. Added extension leads to steppers to allow better routing of cables
\n12. Install opotical sensor for X axis end stop
\n13. Upgraded control to graphical interface
\n14. Built holder for filament for smoother feed
\n15. Bolted printer to a plywood base
\n16. Built box around printer with clear acrylic door
\n17. Added LED light strips to the inside of the box<\/p>\n
